My daughter Dawn surprised me with a new stamp that looks like the top of a spool of thread. I stamped it on to some card stock, but when I went to punch the circle out I noticed the ink didn't quite dry (perhaps the paper was too glossy). What to do?
I decided to give it a coat of Mod Podge Hard Coat and see how the paper would take this medium. At first I thought it was a disaster, it smudged and I thought I'd ruined it. But when I was done I thought it made it look like something found in a grandmother's attic, very cool, so I did them all. I gave them about 3 coats all together, and when they were dry I ran them through my little Xyron sticker maker (another gift from Dawn!) and this is the result. I like that they're pliable and look like wood. They'll be neat to use in a layout with some of my sewing-themed scrapbook paper.
