My oldest sister Mary (who passed away a couple of weeks ago) taught me this song when I was a little girl. We've always sort of teased my daughter Valerie singing her name instead. What wonderful, happy memories this brought back. Right. On.

It never occurred to me "Valerie" didn't make sense in the song, and that her name wasn't actually part of the song.
